Following the planned and approved extensions, Engineering and Projects Manager, Richard Brown was delighted to also introduce a small machine shop that further supports the new World Class Business structure going forward and will help with the repair and development of parts and reaction time if special tooling is required.
Having previously outsourced this type of work, this is not only an asset to Alba Power but will also benefit customers going forward with reduced timings and lower costs.
The new onsite machinery includes a Colchester VS 2500 centre lathe, a Jacobson Surface Grinder, a Bridgeport Milling Machine and a J Archdale Radial Arm Drill.
