Alba Power had plenty to celebrate last year with continued growth and development within the company and a recognition of this across various industry and business award short-lists and wins. The global leading independent turbine service company was delighted to have been shortlisted for several prestigious awards including The Northern Star Awards, Oil and Gas UK Awards, The Manufacturer of the Year Awards and Offshore Achievement Awards, going on to successfully achieve three award wins; European Business Energy Champion, BQ Scottish Entrepreneurial Exporter of the Year and Export Champion at the Growing Business Awards.
However, one member of staff who enjoyed celebrations of his own was Alba Power General Assistant, and all round ‘good guy’, Pietro Salvatorie Russo.
Russo, as he is more commonly known by Alba’s work force, celebrated 15 years with the award winning company at the end of 2014. Having been with Alba Power from almost the start, Russo has enjoyed seeing the company grow and develop into the successful and global company that it is proud to have become.
Alba Power maintain that they are nothing without their skilled and expert team and this rings especially true with employees like Russo. Chris Field, Production Manager at the Netherley site where Russo is based commented, “Russo is a one off – he is a great guy who is prepared to go that extra mile for anyone. Whether it be drive down south or jump on a plane in order to get a part for a customer, he’s happy to help and will always do so with a smile.”
Everyone at Alba Power echoes these thoughts, with the whole team sending their congratulations as they look forward to continuing to work alongside the keen and enthusiastic worker.
Russo added, “I am delighted to be celebrating my 15th Anniversary with Alba Power and have enjoyed working with the company all these years. It’s been great to see the company grow and strengthen and I look forward to seeing what’s next – here’s to another 15 years!”
